The APMonitor Modeling Language includes a set of predefined models.  These include:

    Each model is contained in a separate module as an object.  More advanced models are constructed by combining basic models in an object-oriented framework.  These advanced models of process units can be combined into plant-wide models.  Although the modeling package is currently designed for chemical engineering applications, the approach is general to allow for modeling of any process described by differential and algebraic equations.
